1. Can I request services for someone who lives in the 11 rural counties even if I live outside the rural counties?

Referrals for services may be made through another individual, but the Alamo Area Agency on Aging will need specific client information prior to authorizing services. Call (866) 231-4922 for more information.

2. What qualifies me to receive services through the Alamo Area Agency on Aging?

You are eligible to request services from Alamo Area Agency on Aging if you are:

• Caregivers of individuals ages 60 and over
• Over 60 years of age within the 11 rural counties of AACOG (Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Medina, and Wilson Counties)
• A resident of any age who is eligible for Medicare within the 11 counties of the AACOG region
