Hands-On Personal Care Training for Non-Professional Family Caregivers

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. This session is designed for nonpaid family caregivers of seniors, persons with a disability, or wounded warriors. There will be "hands-on" practice using mannequins and assistive devices (such as wheelchairs, walkers, and transfer boards)--all under the guidance of Dept. of Physical Therapy students from UTHSC, San Antonio. Participants will also learn about community resources and stress reduction, as well as the facts about proper techniques for maintaining their care recipient's personal hygiene.
July 18 is the registration deadline for this free "Hands-On Personal Care Training for Non-professional Family Caregivers." This training, provided through the Bexar County Family Caregiver Support Coalition, is sponsored by mmLearn.org at Morningside Ministries and the Village at Incarnate Word. Lunch is courtesy of CHRISTUS Home Health.
